Uninspired
And Wrapped in a Blanket
I don’t have it today. I feel sad and uninspired. All the tragedy that took place this weekend has me completely undone. When I’m sad, I get overwhelmed and I can’t think straight; my brain shut downs entirely—like a car stalled on the side of highway with an empty tank. There’s no emotional bandwidth left for creativity, decisions, or design.
When this happens, I crave coziness and comfort, so today has consisted of warm foods, thick blankets, and snuggles with my pup. No inspiration—just comfort.

Holiday Party Looks (consistently adding to this)
Stocking Stuffers & Smaller Gifts (a lot of great price points)

Home Maintenance Reminders
Winterize your sprinklers around mid November and disconnect and drain any hoses.
Protect your potted plants by bringing them inside or adding straw, compost, or bark to protect your plants.
Have your chimney serviced before fireplace season begins. Have your gas log serviced as well every 1-2 years as needed.
Have your HVAC system checked for the cold season. I am on a maintenance plan where mine is serviced 2x a year.
Do your gutters need cleaning before potential snow and ice?
If you have a wood burning fireplace, go ahead and get your wood supply sorted.
After two snow days here, preparation is key. Make sure you have your ice melt, cat windshield snow cover, snow shovel, and boots ready!
Winter Prep Reminders
It’s officially the time of year I transition from going for walks to wondering where my blankets are. Here’s your gentle seasonal nudge.
Switch over your wardrobe—bathing suits out, sweaters and boots in. While you’re at it, check for gaps: socks, undies, tights, and anything sad or stretched out you need to replace.
Swap to your winter bedding if you’re a seasonal-bed person.
Scatter throws and blankets around the house for easy access during chilly evenings.
Set up your humidifier to combat the incoming viruses/germs and dry skin.
Stock up on medicine for cold and flu season.
Winter Skincare Reminders
I have extremely sensitive, very fair skin, and taking care of it is basically half my personality at this point. I’ve never had Botox (not opposed!), but I am committed to keeping my skin calm, hydrated, and youthful all winter long. Here’s what actually helps me.
Moisturize (obsessively)
Daily: EltaMD UV Clear- light, non greasy, perfect under makeup, Tower28’s Lip Treatment.
Night: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, La Roche-Posay Toleraine Double Repair, or Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair when I need extra calming.
Hydrate
Rael Sheet masks before dinner/events.
Clarins mask before a shower—rinse off in the shower and feel refreshed.
Drink water and electrolytes.
Mood and Light Support
A SAD light. Great for mood and circadian rhythm.
Vitamin D supplement.
Depuff
YSE under eye masks. Molly Sims can do no wrong.
Fine Lines
Silicone patches—they actually work. I wear them while I do computer work, but you can sleep in them if you don’t toss around.
Body
Trader Joes lavender scrub + Everyone lotion.
Desperately wanting to try the OSEA body oil and the Everywhere Stick.
Hair and Scalp
I have psoriasis, so scalp care is an ongoing journey. Right now I’m liking Shu Uemura hair oil and roz milk serum. I want to try this Vichy shampoo. If you have a holy-grail nec, I’m all ears!
