Take a Load Off
And Shop & Dream for Just a Little While
Since covid, the world hasn’t been the same (and maybe it needed to change to make room for something better). People are on edge and people are scared. If you had asked me in my 20s if the world was going to look how it does today, I would’ve called you a pessimist. My 20s were carefree, full of possibility, riddled with mistakes and growth, and naive in some ways. But my 30’s have been different. They have been full of tests and lessons, which I haven’t always been happy about. And part of growing up and growing older is learning to navigate the unknown and accepting all the planning won’t go as planned. Life is unpredictable and can’t be controlled. I never thought I’d be where I am today; I pictured a much different life for myself (in good and bad ways).
So when things get too overwhelming and the world feels dark, I often blame the planets, the moon, or retrograde, because something always comes through! And when in doubt, I shop it out (sometimes I buy something and sometimes I just window shop). Looking at beautiful clothes, accessories, homes, and decor makes me so happy. I don’t know if it’s the colors, the fabrics, the craftsmanship, or what it is exactly, but I find it soothing and inspiring. A feast for the eyes and the soul.
