The weather has been warm for about a month, and I already feel like I am out of clothes and have nothing to wear. I’ve cycled through my warm weather favorites and have noticed holes (some major) in my wardrobe. As a result, I can only focus on these holes and my current distaste for my clothes. In reality, I have plenty to wear. But I am feeling fashion fatigue and uninspired. THIS IS NORMAL and something I feel after the beginning of a season.
This feeling always bleeds into how I feel about my house. Right now, I want to light everything on fire and start over. Again, I’m noticing holes and things I want to fix or change. Today I’m starring at a plant that I can’t seem to find the right place for and it’s annoying me in the current space I’m trying out. Do I need to replace my kitchen faucet, yup. Do I want to spend money I’d rather use on a fun light fixture on a stupid faucet, no. In reality, I have everything I need. Curating a home and a closet is a lifelong process. It’s a constant creative exercise in expression ourselves, and one I often need to remind myself to enjoy and not try to reach a destination (that doesn’t even exist).
