I’m no Economics expert; I barely passed Econ in college, despite the rest of my family being economics/business/finance majors. But I do know that inflation is keeping me from doing all the fun things I want to do to my house. Instead, funds are going to infrastructure projects like replacing plumbing waste line stacks, removing an abandoned oil tank, getting certain things up to current code, and exploring waterproofing my basement, because I desperately want to finish it to add to the value of my house and have more space for my nephews/my future children (If anyone knows any nice eligible bachelors, reach out :). If you’re feeling this way, you’re not alone! It will be worth it in the long run, but boy does it take away from the fun of creating beautiful spaces, moments, and vignettes in our own homes.
So here’s to dreaming of our future spaces and all the possibilities. Below are this week’s finds…

In response to a “Dear Style Snacks” request (Thanks for your support as always, Jane :), I’m featuring some small accent/side tables. If you have kids, I’m a firm believer in tables that aren’t top heavy, as they can easily be knocked over or be a safety hazard (I have a small martini table I remove when my nephews come to town for this reason). If you’re in the market for two tables, I’m a big fan of tables that don’t match, playing with different dimensions and heights, and styling the tables to express your own personal style. And remember, these tables are so useful in future spaces you’ll find yourself in and for your kids to put in their future apartments! So, find something useful and that you like, not something that’s a quick, temporary fix. And remember, STYLE STYLE STYLE!
