I’ve been back and forth all day about whether or not to send out a newsletter today. So far 2025 has been a dumpster fire. Norovirus and the flu are running rampant. We had a water crisis here in Richmond, VA where we almost went a week without water due to a massive water treatment plant failure (and massive failure of our government). But that is nothing compared to what people in Los Angeles are going through. As someone who lived in LA for 10 years, I know what fire season is like, and this is unprecedented and terrifying. The destruction is awful and it’s still ongoing, because the fires aren’t contained. People have lost their homes, their things, pets, loved ones, community, and everything they’ve worked for. And to be clear, all walks of life lost their homes, not just a bunch of affluent people as it has been reported.
I feel silly even posting interiors right now, since many don’t have homes to go back to. I don’t know what the right thing to do is honestly. Am I being insensitive by sharing pretty things that make me happy? Or highlighting spaces that inspire me? Am I promoting consumerism at a time when people have nothing? But also, distraction can be good, right? Someone give me the answer, lol.
So if this interests anyone or brings anyone a distraction, here are some interior finds…
