I Am a Horrible Packer
And It's My Dream to be a Good One
For a long weekend away, my car is exploding with bags. I like being (overly) prepared for whatever might come my way, but for my trip to Scandinavia I’m supposed to only pack a carry on. We are going to be taking trains and regional planes to get around, so schlepping multiple bags bigger than me isn’t an option (and even checking a bag is discouraged). I am the girl who runs from the check in counter if other family members are present to avoid paying the inevitable oversized baggage fee with a side of shame. HOW WILL ALL MY STUFF FIT IN A CARRY ON FOR A WEEK OF TRAVEL! I need OPTIONS. I need layers. I need different walking shoes. I need TO BE PREPARED. I’m scared and I’m nervous. Can I do it? Am I going to have to do laundry in a sink? Therefore, I’ve started a quest for travel and packing essentials to help me in this endeavor.
