Let’s continue to answer the below question. Today I’m going to talk about my dream bathroom!
Dear Style Snacks, I am dying to know, if money were absolutely no object what would your decor picks be? Maybe for a bedroom, living room and kitchen? Would be so fun to look at. XO
Currently, I have a pretty great bathroom, but there are things I would’ve done differently. My shower can fit about 20 people, which is great?, but I would love a shower and a bath in the space (I love baths). I have a lovely floating vanity, but I would’ve done different marble. As of late, I’m very into veiny, interesting marble that can update a classic space. Other things I would change- different cabinet pulls, different light fixtures over the mirrors, maybe trim out the window in marble that matches the countertops, different floor tile that shows less and is more durable, different shower tile (love a glossy look and I’m already getting cracks on a bathroom that’s 5 years old), potential shower seat/ledge for shaving, and unlaquered brass or chrome faucets and shower kit.
Overall, I find myself really attracted to gray marbles and whitish marbles with great veins. I love a classic bathroom but one with a modern twist. And I love a bathroom that feels CLEAN and not too cluttered or busy. Powder rooms are spaces where you can go crazy with color, wallpaper, and other features in my opinion.
Here are some of my favorite bathrooms and what I love about them..
1. Cave Interiors (designer), Paul Massey (image)- I love the vanity and gray marble. This bathroom is simple, classic, yet with a modern twist. 2. Anthology Creative (designer)- I love this marble bathtub and how it’s framed in the doorway. 3. Anthology Creative (designer)- I love the marble and modern vanity. 4. Tamsin Johnson (designer)- I love the wallpaper, sconces, floor tile, and sink. The concrete sink with the skirt is more of a power room vibe or a beach house look in my opinion. 5. Veere Grenney (designer), Mark Anthony Fox (image)- Veere can do no wrong in my eyes. Obsessed with the marble and mirrors. 6. Kate Guinness (designer)- Love the warmth and simplicity of this bathroom.
7. Nina Campbell (designer), Chris Horwood (image)- I love the warmth and lightness of this bathroom. The ledge next to the tub is A+. 8. Rachael Gowdridge (designer), Christopher Horwood (image)- I love the juxtaposition of the old floors with the modern marble shower and vanity. Like I said, I’m very into veiny marble right now. 9. Anthology Creative (designer)- I have a floating vanity like this and wish it had a marble like this to add some interest instead of the basic, white marble I have. I like the light fixtures and wall paneling as well. 10. Salvesen Graham (designer), Chris Horwood (image)- Lovely bathtub and marble trim under the mirror. I die for the shelving as well (think candles, books, bubble bath) 11. Polly Ashman (Interiors), Owen Gale (Photo)- A classic bathroom with the checker floor, bathtub, and shower, but the warm pink elevates it and modernizes it. I would do a different light fixture and window treatment. I love the stool by the bathtub to put your awaiting towel, books, or candles. 12. Tamsin Johnson (designer)- I drool over this bathroom. I adore the marble vanity and the marble trim on the mirrors. Modern, yet timeless. I love how clean, yet interesting it is.
